Noel, noel, noel, let our voices rise
As we sing a song of praise and lift our music to the skies.
Noel, noel, noel, sing it loud and clear
so that all on earth may know our joy this season of the year.

Lessons and Carols

On Sunday, December 14th, 2008, the choirs of Holy Trinity Parish presented a service of Lessons and Carols. During this beautiful liturgy, the story of the birth of Christ was told through a series of seven readings from scripture, seasonal anthems and traditional carols. This year the Sanctuary Choir and the Happy Hour band welcomed the Handbell Choir and our newly formed Children's Choirs to the service. The congregation joined in the singing on familiar carols to help us proclaim the good news of this season of joyous expectation.

After the church service everyone continued celebrating downstairs in Trinity Hall at our annual Christmas Cabaret. There were refreshments (that disappeared quickly and had to be replenished with an emergency grocery store run) sing-a-longs, and entertainment from choir members. Thanks to John and J.P. for decorating and setting up, to Karim and Sarah for serving drinks and dish washing, to Thiago and his assistant (and wife) Diana for awesome piano accompaniments, to Gia and John for the amazing flying bells routine, to Tom for his witty repartee as our emcee, and to all the singers who entertained us. And, of course, a big thanks to Jay for orchestrated the whole evening. This was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy our church community.
